Because each person’s sensitivity to alpha-gal can vary, one of the best ways to manage your alpha-gal syndrome is by knowing your specific triggers and how to manage them. But I know from personal experience that there is a lot to track.
When I couldn’t find a good way to keep tabs on everything my doctor wanted me to monitor, I created this tool. And now, it can help you, too! Use it to document everything you eat and drink for a month. Record any reactions and list any potential triggering ingredients. Share your food diary with your physician and/or dietician to identify patterns and adjust your diet accordingly.

This tracker has been a lifesaver. I was convinced I had my alpha-gal triggers figured out, but then those random reactions just kept popping up out of nowhere. So frustrating! I tracked my diet with this printout for a solid week, and guess what? It was carrageenan in my plant-based milks! I’m feeling so much better now that I’ve found that last piece of the puzzle.

Sagealphagal is one of my go-to websites. There’s a lot of crazy stuff out there that was unhelpful to me in the beginning of my AG journey. But Sage’s info is sound and very helpful. In particular, the Trigger Tracker is very useful in tracking down more specific AG triggers. To anyone who is trying to figure out their specific triggers, this is incredibly helpful. Not only that, but most anything she posts is helpful. Like I said, she is one of my go-tos!! Thank you!!
